We are six sisters who grew up to become six best friends — alongside the best husbands — and we feel incredibly blessed to be raising our crew of 29 children while doing life together. What began as a shared dream of opening a business and working side by side to support our families has become a reality we are deeply grateful for.

The name Lillian Carl & Company holds great meaning to us. It is inspired by four of the most pure and beautiful examples of inner strength and love we have known. Our brother, Carl, and our precious niece, Lillian — daughter to Liberty — were both named after our grandparents, Carl and Lillian, whose legacy continues to shape who we are today. Our name also honors the One we know is always in our company, guiding our steps and anchoring our faith.

We were raised in rural Indiana farm country, where a quick run through the cornfields led us straight to our grandparents’ farm. It was there that the importance of keeping God close, valuing community, and loving your neighbor was instilled in us at an early age. Small-town life taught us the power of faith, the strength found in togetherness, and the comfort that comes from being truly known. After the heartbreaking loss of our only brother far too early in life, it was our community — friends, family, and neighbors — who carried us through and continue to support us to this day.

Our love for fashion grew naturally and joyfully. Some of our favorite memories are summer trips to Arizona to visit our grandparents, where back-to-school shopping meant browsing a nearby thrift store. We didn’t often have brand-new clothes, but we treasured the “new to us” pieces we shared, filling the slightly crooked closet shelves our dad built for us. We loved helping one another choose outfits, keeping up with trends, and even creating a few of our own. No matter what we wore, our mom always reminded us that what mattered most was what was on the inside.
